What is this website? Under Orre is my attempt at an ongoing visual catalogue of my collection; both for my own reference and for others. Sometimes it's nice to have all of my item information on a tidy website, instead of having to go pick up an item and search for copyright dates. This is also simply a fun side hobby that I enjoy indulging in.
Similar to a bunch of smaller collectors, I have my beginnings interacting in the online hobby space through the (still active!) Pkmncollectors LJ community (which is not affiliated with the Discord server of the same name, though there is membership overlap). I had accumulated many collection pieces before joining; and was contacted by a member who had found a photo of my collection in 2009. The community on LJ was and continues to be a true boon to dedicated collectors. It's proven to be an invaluable research archive and tool for me, and I've used it for several items I've found and hunted down. I still highly recommend joining if you're interested in learning about the history of items, the spirit of collecting, and a shared hobby space with others. Please be sure to thoroughly read the rules, and keep in mind you do need to apply to become a member.
As far as my collection goes, I was incredibly fortunate to be located 'close enough' to PCNY when I was young. Much of my collection still stems from the physical store, the old online website that operated until shortly after the release of Diamond and Pearl, or Nintendo World (Nintendo New York). Please keep this in mind while browsing my collection. Many of my items were also Christmas gifts or otherwise not purchased by me--I'm not wealthy, just dedicated.

What does this mean? It means, generally, that anything I post on this website is information that you are free to absorb and reference. Credit is appreciated (and necessary, in the case of images). A link back to whatever page you reference would suffice. It also (and most importantly, to me) means that I am not and have never been/will be paid to praise an item. If something isn't good quality or has faults and flaws, I will be writing about them. Hopefully this enables you to make your own judgements and decide if an item is something you might like to collect or purchase someday. My hope is that this means I can provide information here with no other ulterior motives. I'm not selling you anything. I'm primarily interested in the construction and history of these items. I find them pleasing to look upon and wish to share information about them. That's all.
What do I collect? People often ask 'what do you collect?' as a topic of conversation. My answer has never been very firm on this, and I've settled to simply saying 'I collect what I like'. Usually, it ends up being plush, but there are many other random or obscure items that I find interesting due to their unusual qualities or background information. Perhaps unlike many more visible collectors in the modern Pokémon collecting scene, my interests primarily rest in several different generations, Pokémon, and merchandise variety, so you can expect to see a bunch of different items here. I don't collect duplicates. It's something I personally find to be antithetical to the spirit of collecting (unless the items were mass produced and remain both easy and cheap to acquire). I do want to note that I am not a Pokedoll collector. I just happen to have a decent amount of them. In addition, I am not a completionist. I decided early on that it's too big of a burden--financially and for space. Plus, I don't care for grabbing every single item with a cameo of my favorites...that's incredibly difficult and next to impossible, when your favorites are legendaries/mythicals/starters!
What isn't here? Pricing! I don't talk about pricing here. Prices fluctuate, and I don't want to keep updating every single item. Besides, these items are all mine--they technically don't have prices anymore :) Regardless, I cannot stress enough the importance of doing your own research thoroughly to be sure you aren't being ripped off or participating in market manipulation. Buying items for more than you should snowballs and ends up affecting many collectors down the line. This is important to note; because part of the (tricky) fun in collecting is not only being able to acquire items you want, but also being able to do it for a good and fair price! It's our job to be responsible and keep the collecting scene as accessible to as many people as possible.

The oldest photo of my collection. Some not so humble beginnings, looking back!
An old collection photo. Not all of these are mine. Only most of them.
Another old, slightly post gen 5 collection photo.
