In battle, Blaziken blows out intense flames from its wrists and attacks the foe courageously.
The stronger the foes, the more intensely this Pokémon's wrists burn.

Plush
Blaziken Pokedoll
2004 USA Obtained from an online Pokemon Center NY order One of my childhood Pokedolls, obtained in a set with Sceptile and Swampert. Originally these came with their palms sewn to the sides of the legs. At some point I...'freed' his hands. I have since carefully sewn them back down, and he's back to normal! I'm still not sure if the little 'mouth' on him is really a mouth, or just the shape of the beak, but I like thinking of it as a happy open beak mouth :) |
Poseable Pokemon Center Blaziken plush
2019 USA Obtained from PokemonCenter.com Tied for my favorite Blaziken plush with the San-ei, Pokemon Center did an amazing job with this entire poseable starter plush line. Blaziken in particular received fantastic treatment. The fluffy feathers on the crest are a nice longer fabric pile, and the posing in the legs and arms work well. If I could change one thing, I would have the spikes on the back legs be stuffed too, since they went through the trouble of stuffing his toe claws (which most of his plush do not do)! |
Pokemon Center Blaziken Fit 2020 JP
Obtained from JP Pokemon Center Online Hoenn Fit plush! I wondered how they would make Blaziken, since it's a very leggy design. Turns out they stunted the legs a bit and filled them with beans. I think that's an okay compromise. It might have looked strange if the legs extended too far out. |
Mega Blaziken Tomy plush 2014 JP
Obtained from US Mercari An interactable plush, this Blaziken comes with a mega stone that responds to a (sold separate) mega bracelet! I tested the stone (it can be turned on) and it does work. Neat functionality for kids who actually played with them! I do not have the required mega bracelet, however. |
Mega Blaziken Pokemon Center plush
2013 USA Obtained from Nintendo World A little weird looking--the legs aren't quite in proportion to the body--but this was the first Mega Blaziken plush. Not as spectacular as I might have hoped, but it's still nice to see that the Hoenn starter megas did get plush! Blaziken even got an extra that Swampert and Sceptile didn't. |
Tomy Blaziken "I Choose You!" plush
2022 JP Obtained from the JP Tomy website Oddly enough, I couldn't find this plus for sale secondhand anywhere. Not even from other distributors--I had to order it directly from Tomy's website. Weird, but I'm happy that it did release! This line of plush are a modern take on the old version of Tomy plush, which had more coarse and long pile fabric paired with classic button eyes. The leg and arm pattern for this plush is kind of strange since they bow out instead of kicking out straight, but I think it adds a bit more charm. |
San-ei Blaziken plush
Obtained from LegendaryJapan.com! Tied for my favorite Blaziken plush with the Pokemon Center one; San-ei did a fantastic job with their version of Blaziken. This one can even stand up on it's own without support if you pose it right; which isn't terribly difficult to do. It's soft, designed and patterned well, and an amazing choice for any Blaziken fan. |
Figures
Blaziken bath salt figure
Purchased from ebay Thanks to Methuselah on LJ for identifying! This figure seems to mistakenly be identified as the V-trainer figure for some reason. The pose is totally different and there's no chip slot on the bottom. It's from a 'bath salt' which is essentially a precursor to the modern 'bath bomb'. Figures were completely random, you wouldn't know what you got out of the set until the bath salt was used. |
Movie 07 Deoxys the Visitor (Destiny Deoxys)
1/40 scale zukan figure Obtained from Y!J A very neat Blaziken only zukan figure released to commemorate the 7th movie, which features a Blaziken owned by Rafe, a side character. I somewhat prefer this over Blaziken's regular release zukan; since it has cool translucent flames! |
Flats/Misc.
Blaziken settei
Obtained from Rockfluff through Skydramon An interesting settei featuring some iconic shots of the Blaziken vs. Charizard fight in the anime at the end of the Johto conference. I picked this up because I happen to have this episode...on a GBA cartridge. Also, it's my first settei, even though it's a bit non-traditional for one! Most settei are photocopies of reference sheets for animators to use. |

Customs/Unofficial Items
ParadoxFoxArt Blaziken pins (normal and shiny)
Obtained from etsy Shop here! This artist made pins of all my main team except for Staraptor; so I've slowly started picking them up! I think they're very cute designs with cool packaging. |
Lunaurum Art - Land and Sea - Blaziken pin
Obtained from Kickstarter Shop here! A whole set of these large pins designed around the Hoenn region were produced by this artist. I would have loved the entire set and all the variants, but there were a whole bunch of them and they are expensive since the pins are so large! I ended up only getting Blaziken and Sceptile, since they are in my main collections. |
