Palkia
Spatial Pokémon
#484
It is said to live in a gap in the spatial dimension parallel to ours. It appears in mythology.
It soars across the sky in a form that greatly resembles the creator of all things. Perhaps this imitation of appearance is Palkia's strategy for gaining Arceus's powers.

Plush
Palkia Pokedoll
2007 USA Obtained from old Pokemon Center website Purchased in a set offered by the old Pokemon Center website, including Palkia, Dialga, and the three Sinnoh starters, along with a tote bag featuring Dialga and Palkia. I'm astonished that the vinyl material on this particular Palkia hasn't begun to crack; because it is well travelled! |
DX Palkia Pokedoll
2007 JP Mercari USA Originally sold at Pokemon Centers in Japan, this is the larger version of the regular Pokedoll. Though mine was purchased mint, it's since fallen victim to the vinyl cracking that these plush are prone to. It's extra confusing, since my original Pokedoll has not yet had this occur. The Pokedoll is in great shape otherwise. |
Ichiban Kuji Double Chance Palkia Pokedoll - MWT
Pokemon Center/Banpresto 2007/2008 Obtained from Y!J in 2022 The biggest Palkia Pokedoll (and possibly biggest Pokedoll next to the Dialga counterpart), a double chance 'Giant Palkia Pokedoll'. Ichiban Kuji lotteries in Japan sometimes offer a 'double chance' lotto where you can scan your lotto ticket again to see if you were the very rare winner of a lotto-in-a-lotto. The seller I purchased this from estimated there were '100 winners', which would number this Palkia as 1 of 50--the tag says 'Dialga/Palkia doll' on it, so there would have been 50 of each for 100 total winners. There are other estimates as low as 10 to 25 released, due to how infrequently they show up and comparing to other double chance lotto prize numbers. Regardless, it's been a long time since 2007, so there are probably even less surviving intact today. For more information on this chunky fellow, please navigate to the Pokedolls page! |
Jakks Palkia plush
2007 USA Retail store The last of the larger sized plush to be sold for several years in the USA, this Palkia and the matching Dialga were quite readily available. Jakks were found in many familiar stores such as Walmart. These aren't too hard to find today, but they are often in a sorry state due to having flimsy fins and the old vinyl material. The flimsy fins are a particularly bad problem on Dialga, who has the fan on the back, the spikes on the chest piece, and facial fins that easily warp/crack/bend with time. |

Dialga and Palkia sticker sheet
2007 JP Obtained from y!j Another piece of art I like, typically I see it on TCG products like binders; which tend to get very expensive and be in rough shape. Luckily for me, this pristine sticker sheet was included in a lot with the above notebook! Two art pieces I wanted sold together in amazing shape! |
Palkia Medalief
~2006 - 2009 JP Obtained from y!j "Medalief" are pressed coins, much like the kind offered at attractions such as aquariums or science museums/other notable tourist locations in the USA. Pokemon Centers in Japan swap out the designs frequently. Sometimes they feature the store mascot Pokemon, current legendaries, or other notable characters. I am unsure about the exact year on this Palkia coin, but it's a safe bet to guess that it would have been available for the release of Diamond and Pearl! |
